Hi! I'm Daniel Gawkowski. I like to draw, and I've recently gotten into designing and building web sites. I have formal training in art, and I'm just learning the web site building stuff as I go along.

I graduated from Mona Shores High School in Michigan back in 1997. I then went on to Muskegon Community College where I had NO IDEA what I wanted to do with my life. After a year there, I decided I wanted to do something with art, so I applied to and was accepted into The Academy of Art College in San Francisco. I went there for a year, but didn't really enjoy living in the big city, or being that far from home. So, I decided to move back to Michigan.

Having tried the art school, and not being sure what I wanted to do, I decided to go to Grand Valley State University and pursue an art teaching degree. However, after trying that for a year, I realized that really wasn't for me. I then applied to another art school, and was accepted into Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida where I finally graduated after 4 years with a bachelor of fine arts degree.

After a year, not finding a job, and really still unsure what I wanted to do with my life. My beautiful wife, my dog, and I packed up our stuff and moved back to sunny Michigan where we currently live. I now work in the family business, where I sometimes get to us my art degree, and I'm starting to learn more about the web site designing business. I've since gotten a few side jobs designing and building web sites for some local businesses, and I am always looking for more work!
